“This statement is a woman’s approach to a fleeting moment, whether it’s presented in the mind at any moment or something seen. Beauty is an intangible thing, can not be fixed on the surface, this is what the artist struggles to realize, and most of the time we are not totally satisfied with what we create. Sometimes we see beyond the usual and immediately want to remember when we get to the studio what was that instant that gave us that joy, to try and get it down on paper, or canvas or whatever the artist’s medium is. That is the reason I paint and why I work with watercolor. It gives a lot of freedom to throw paint on the surface and let it do whatever it wants or you can control it to produce realistic paintings.
I moved to this area around five years ago and am totally inspired by the beauty of the natural world around me. I never tire of it and this is where I get my inspiration.”
